Directions to Te Aroha:

From AUCKLAND (approx. 150 km):

Follow SH 1, drive south for about 50 km. After Bombay Hills turn left on to SH 2 for about 50 km.

After Maramarua at Mangatarata, keep right on SH 27 towards Matamata - Rotorua direction for approximately 40 km until Tatuanui.

At Tatuanui, turn left into SH 26 towards Te Aroha - Coromandel. Travel another 14 km from Tatuanui.

At the Waitomo petrol station, turn right into Stanley Road. We are located 2 km along this country road, just past the racecourse, by the flags.

If by mistake you end up in Paeroa (by driving on SH 2 towards Tauranga all the way and missing the turn-off at Mangatarata) just make sure you don’t drive past the right turn-off just before the L&P Bottle (the original one) and cross the bridge towards Hamilton, taking SH 26. Te Aroha is 24 km from Paeroa.

Drive through Te Aroha, towards Hamilton, crossing the river, downhill from the town clock and Post office. The Holiday Park is located 2 km from the town boundary. Turn left when you come into Stanley Road, then leave SH 26 opposite the Shell petrol station and drive along the country road for 2km. We are on the left, by the flags.

From TAUPO (150 km) or ROTORUA (110 km):

From Taupo, follow SH 1 North and from Rotorua it is SH 5 North-West. Both these Roads will meet at Tirau.

From Tirau take SH 27 past Hinuera to Matamata.

Go all the way to Tatuanui and turn right into SH 26 towards Te Aroha - Coromandel.

From HAMILTON (55 km):

Heading North-East, take SH26 at the Hillcrest roundabout.

Continue driving past past Morrinsville, Tatuanui, Waitoa and Waihou.

Directions from TE AROHA:

3 km from the centre, at the South-West end and down-hill from the bridge towards Hamilton, turn into Stanley Road, at the intersection with the Waitomo petrol station.

Drive 2 km along this country road. We are situated on the left where all the flags are, just past the racecourse.

If you are coming from Tatuanui on SH 26, heading North-East, turn right into Stanley Road at the first intersection, after the Shell, before heading into town. Blue signs with white camping symbols will lead you to us.

We found the new owners who had taken over this park in Dec are most obliging and can see that they are achieving improvements at a great rate. Great stay.

We had a lovely stay for one night in a cabin. Super friendly and helpful managing couple. Thank you so much, we will be back.

Monique

We stayed here for 3 amazing days. The facilities were clean tidy & comfortable. This would be amazing if you have younger kids, as there is a adventure park with a sway bridge flying fox & giant nets.

For the more chilled out visitors like myself the views of the mountains are Awesome. I would come back to this Beautiful park again in a heart beat. Thank you Te Aroha Camp Grounds, yous have done yourselves proud. 5 Star ServiceπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸŒŸπŸ‘

Such a beautiful spot with views of the mountain, miniature horses surrounding! Recently under new management but can see they're really making the effort to turn it around from the last owner.

Super lovely manager. Very clean, tidy, quiet and calm. Stayed at campsite. Had free WiFi, basic kitchen, showers etc and power. Also had a variety of cabins etc available. But perfect for me as wanting a safe quiet spot for my campervan. Not too far from rail trail and cute te aroha town. also has a small mineral hot pool which is on every night!

The staff were super friendly and the accommodation was just as advertised. It worked well for what we needed, very clean and tidy. I would stay here again.
